Action This Day Colt Out of Games For Me

At 9:30 p.m., Games For Me delivered a large colt by Action This Day.  This little guy was whinnying to Mom before he was fully delivered and standing without any help within 15 minutes.

Monocacy delivered this Oratory colt on April 19, 9 days early but full of energy and ready to eat.  He insisted on nursing long before he had his balance and, with a little balancing help from staff, had his first meal within seconds of standing.

This dark bay colt was delivered at 12:15 A.M. on April 24.  With his three white socks, he is striking to look at.  Another hungry boy, he was up without any help in 45 minutes and helping himself to his first meal.  Mom was tired after delivering this large colt, but more than happy to have her new foal by her side.

Pioneering Filly

Breakfast was interrupted by a surprise guest on April 26th when Stylish Kitten decided to deliver this uniquely marked filly by Pioneering.  By 9 a.m., the filly was on the ground and not at all concerned that Mom had finished eating yet.  Te face markings are very distinctive on his pretty 10.3 chestnut filly.

Ladino's Bambino Colt out of Catisfaction

Things were fairly quiet throughout the day on April 27, but no one was surprised when Catisfaction laid down and with six pushes delivered this Bay Colt by Ladino's Bambino.  Although she's a small mare, she had no problem birthing this good sized colt by herself.  Although Mom tends to be very protective, this little guy's curiousity usually wins out - visiting staff whenever they go into the stall.

Hannah has always preferred to have her foals during the day, and April 28th was no exception when she delivered this flashy filly at 2 p.m.  Within a few hours "Natalie" was running around the stall.  Out in the paddock the next morning, she showed all the thoroughbreds what "running" was all about.

After having a foal a day for three days, it looked like the mares were going to take the night off.  But Krisacia, although 9 days early, stepped up to the plate and delivered this long legged Oratory filly in the early morning hours of April 29.  Mare and filly are both doing well and love their time out in the paddock.

Ladino's Bambino Filly out of Alszette

"Allison" was born at 11:55 p.m.....just managing a May 1 birthday.  Small but well put together and lively, she loves attention and is always willing to play with the staff at Cordelia.

The Warden did a good job delivering this large Sligo Bay colt on 5/4/08 at 1:20 a.m.  The foal had no problems figuring out had to nurse but was camera shy.  After several attempts, staff decided to give him a little courage while the camera clicked.  Pictures aren't so bad after all!

Rock Slide Filly out of Hatties Gingersnap

At 10:30 p.m. on her due date May 9, Hatties Gingersnap decided to deliver her first foal.  With no signs of discomfort, she just delivered and went back to munching on alfalfa.  After 15 minutes, she realized there was a new visitor in the stall and mare and foal have been close companions ever since.

Born on at 1:30 a.m. on May 21, this warmblood cross was curious about her surroundings from the beginning.   By 9 a.m. this morning, she was far to curious to get a picture without one of the staff holding her.  She was determined to put her nose on the camera lens and find out exactly what it was.
